Process
Food drying is a method of food preservation in which food is dehydrated. Drying removes the moisture from the food so bacteria, yeast and mold
cannot grow and spoil the food. Drying also slows down the action of enzymes (naturally occurring substances which cause foods to ripen), but does
not inactivate them. Because drying removes moisture, the food becomes smaller and lighter in weight. When the food is ready for use, the water is
added back, and the food returns to its original shape.
We process our vegetable, herbal and fruit products by using Unique Dehydration Technique (UDT) which provides effective drying of our products
without loss of its nutritional values, aroma, taste, flavor and colour.
Benefits of UDT:-
- First products are sorted, washed, blanched or sanitized, cut and placed in Dehydrator
- It dries gradually so the structure of product is not ruptured
- In the process, the aroma, flavor, pungency, taste of product is maintained to its original form.
- Cost- effective technique
- Long shelf life
